Distance Doesn’t Matter, Love Will Survive

Prologue.

When Brendon comes home from school, he sees there’s a letter dedicated to him.
When he comes to his room he opens it and slightly remembers the handwriting again.
“this is, this is, from Ryan?” he doesn’t seem to get it…

       Hi Brendon,
I know we haven’t spoken or wrote each other for a long time,
so I thought we needed to begin again.
       You want to know why?
Because I’m going on vacation to the United States, New York,
this year and let that just be the place where you live.
I’m bringing my mother and Jon, a friend of mine, with me. Yeah,
my dad can’t come with us, because he passed away 3 months
       ago,
that’s why we had a ticket left, so I’m taking Jon with me.

       See you soon,

       Love,

       Ryan.

He couldn’t believe he was finally going to meet Ryan, his pen-pal from primary school.
Ryan is a boy of 16 years right now and he lived in Europe, London.
Brendon is a boy that was also 16 years old and lived in New York,
When they made contact for a school project and they had to look for pen-pals they clicked, that’s probably also the reason why he wrote and didn’t mailed.
Brendon always saw Ryan as his best friend because Brendon was different and that’s the reason why he didn’t have so much friends…

Brendon stares at the letter for a little longer and starts looking for the box with the rest of the letters, when he found it he put the new one with the rest and sets it right on his desk, so he wouldn’t forget to write him back tomorrow.
